Great hotel, nice rooms and great breakfast buffet

Service in the cafe left a lot to be desired. 15-20 minutes until you are served. The waiter (older man with glasses) was very rude. Instead of being happy to have customers so that the shop does not have to close during Corona times, as a guest you get the feeling of being unwanted! The cakes were ok, so there are still 2 stars ...

If breakfast is the best part of your stay ... Very underground rooms, everything ancient. In the first room (with a view of the mini backyard), the bedside cabinet was in the middle of the bathroom door. If you wanted to go into the bathroom, you had to halfway over the cabinet. Room furnished like in the 50s. Bed half fallen apart. You felt like you were in a closet where you should sleep. When we asked at the front desk whether all the rooms in the hotel were so underground, we were left standing quite unfriendly. You have to see if you have another room. We were shown another room that looked acceptable at first glance. It turned out, in retrospect, that this room was just as disastrous. When showering, the bathroom flooded because it was impossible to close the door of the shower cubicle so that no water escapes. The bathroom was a dark hole, ventilation didn't work either. View from the room also not really better. Sorry and ask so much money for it? Fortunately we were only there one night, we would not have stayed longer voluntarily. I think a prison cell is more stylish. Hotel Rheinstein ..... NEVER AGAIN !!!

Delicious cakes

The hotel management should invest money in the renovation of the rooms rather than in the website. The internet presence suggests a wrong impression. Windows could only be opened with a trick, the mattress could be replaced and the bathroom had the charm and the knee of the 70s. Unfortunately, the many negative reviews are confirmed.

Very good pizza, attentive and friendly service!

Went there for coffee. Local not exactly clean. Lots of leftover food on the floor. There was no toilet paper in the men's room. A bottle of mineral water (0.7 l) costs € 6.30 and a piece of cake (small) from € 3.90. Service not particularly good. We had to remind the waiter three times to bring us milk with our coffee. Wouldn't go back.

Good quality, good service, portions a bit small

We had to wait about 15 minutes before we were even served. We were about to get up. The service was rude afterwards. The food was ok. The portion of schnitzel was small and a bit carelessly served with the piece of carrot.

Great hotel with a beautiful terrace and friendly staff without exception. Great service. Definitely have breakfast.

Not a nice hotel in the first room bed broken and not clean at all. Then got a new one that wasn't better. Friendly staff but for the price they charge for the rooms it's a joke. Never again

The old man who works as a waiter in the restaurant was too uncomfortable and too rude! I never saw anyone that bitter ... the coffee experience was nothing special and when it came to ordering and paying it was very rude. I don't recommend it at all !!!!

Friendly service, fair prices, delicious cake and coffee. Central location in Rüdesheim directly on the Rhine. The Drosselgasse e.g. is just around the corner. This review only refers to the restaurant or cafe, not to the hotel.

We "only" had breakfast in transit, but this breakfast was divine with homemade jam from the boss👍👍👍

Enjoyed the visit

Came here looking for a quick lunch but instead had to wait for over 40mins for "woodoven" baked pizza. Most customers around us had the similar issue. Our drinks which literally take no time to make, took 20 minutes to be poured into a cup. This was definitely a tour trap off the main road that I would not recommend anyone to go to for their excruciating slow service and mediocre food.

Good hotel, clean, tidy and a very good breakfast. Nice view of the Rhine. On a busy road and railway line though. Too bad that € 10 per day has to be paid for parking if your car is in a remote area 500 meters from the hotel

The stay was very good and we are happy to give all 5 stars. The hotel is renovated and with taste. We chose standard rooms and did not miss anything, the decor was totally fine and really clean! The staff in the hotel was competent and always friendly and very hard-working. The breakfast was great, there was something for every taste and the dinner (half board) we could even choose the starter differently. Everything fresh and delicious. The location is very convenient, right on the Rheinstraße and thus on the Rhine and the ship investors. But also a railway line with constantly freight traffic, that was sometimes a bit loud but you get used to it quickly. So everything was great and we will definitely go there again.

We had our afternoon tea here: mint tea, ice-chocolate, warm chocolate cake, fresh cooked waffles with ice cream and hot raspberry sauce...everything was delicious, the environment was nice and clean, the seats were comfortable, the price was pretty reasonable, also the service was very good !

No AC. Sad continental breakfast. Great location! Shower leaked all over floor.

The hotel offered a very good price performance ratio. A special highlight is the very polite staff especially in the mornings at breakfast. One drawback is however that some of the rooms get notably warm during hot summer days and usually the is no measure available to solve this weather dependent issue.
